The ALD48 brings alternator linearisation to modern 48 V electrical architectures. It stabilises the noisy multi-pulse rectified output from 48 V alternators and produces a clean, linear reference suitable for DC/DC converters, hybrid modules, BMS systems, and monitoring equipment.
48 V systems are more sensitive to ripple, transient loading and open-circuit alternator events than 12 V or 24 V platforms. The ALD48 eliminates the instability that causes system oscillation, false detection, or premature shutdown.
Absorbs massive and destructive voltage spikes that are expected to occur if an alternator load is disconnected during operation (Lithium BMS interrupting charge, fuses blowing, large changes in loads, cables disconnecting)
Normalises alternator output into a clean, stable reference.
Ensures sensitive electronic equipment such as DC/DC chargers sense the alternator correctly.
Stabilises voltage readings on vehicles with ageing alternator diodes or high-current loads
