TYPE 2 CONNECTORS (M / F / SET) :: IEC 62196

The IEC 62196 'Type 2' EV charger connections are perhaps the most common high power connector currently found on the Western market. It's unlikely you'll go a normal day without passing a few of these due to how common they are by nature of being the pre-eminent charge connector of electric vehicles. 

Simple to use, hard to misuse, and massively capable in transferring power from one area to another. 

These items are not cabled. They come with all necessary parts for mounting and for fitting (Male connector has 4x m6 bolts for securing into place - female connector has the 'locking' screws for the handle) and are available either alone (as Male or Female) or as a set (with minor saving for purchasing as a set). 

It is probably crucial that I also clarify that the MALE connector is the connector that is generally 'installed' and immobile, and the FEMALE connector is the connector on the end of the cable that you then physically plug into the MALE connector.  This may seem counter-intuitive to how MALE and FEMALE contacts are generally understood (one into the other-) but it is because of how the actual contacts interact, rather than the housing.
