As you are no doubt aware the Alternative Dispute Resolution Regulations came into force on 1st October 2015. Following this the European Regulation on Online Dispute Resolution came into force in the UK on the 15th February 2016. These two new laws put the following legal obligations on retailers when providing a consumer a product, service, or delivery. 

  1.  ALL retailers must sign post its customers to an authorised ADR provider in relation to unresolved disputes; In-Store and
  2. ALL retailers who sell online must include the online dispute resolution platform web address on their website.
